Fangshi: Non-WCA Overload

Fangshi: Non-WCA Overload Yesterday Fangshi released multiple Non-WCA puzzles, now why does this matter? There is 2 reasons: 1. They are all remakes of old cubes that were made by other companies. 2. Fangshi has been very inactive recently and all of a sudden they are active. Maybe these cubes were just to put out a cube so they have more time for an even bigger project like maybe a big cube. If you are wondering what cubes they released here they are: 2x2 Transform Pyraminx - Pyrastar 2x2 Transform Pyraminx - Rhombohedron 2x2 Transform Pyraminx - Octahedron 2x2 Transform Pyraminx

Gan is becoming more active!

Gan is becoming more active! So most of you probably know that the company Gans used to just make 3x3 which in my opinion are the best! Nowadays they are getting more involved in the 2x2 and 4x4 market. They released the Gans 249, announced the Gans 4x4, and even put the Gans 249 v2 up for preorder! I think the reason they are getting into these types of cubes because other mainstream companies aren't interested in them anymore. Currently, the Qiyi Wuque is one of the most widely loved 4x4 along with the Moyu Aosu GTS M. The GTS M came out over a month ago and the Wuque came out almost 6 months ago, so Gans probably wants to start 2018 off with a new 4x4 that will be used by many people.  Their 2x2 is not amazing but fits my needs. It isn't something that you should trade your Valk for. It is a little slippery because it has full fitted tiles on it. It is a little sluggish as well, I think this is happening because the design is almost the same as the Gans Air SM, an

Changes in Wca regulations

Changes in WCA regulations On Dec 19, 2017, the WCA announced that some MAJOR changes were made to the regulations which will be effective on January 1, 2018. These are the changes: Puzzles with logos are not allowed to be used in blindfolded events. The format of “3x3x3 With Feet” is changed to “Average of 5”. The WRC and WCA Board will review how the format change influences the popularity of the event and decide about the future of the event after an internally determined period of time.  The result recording procedure has been revised: Judges must sign right after recording the result. Competitors have to check the result and sign after the judge has recorded the result and signed. The competitor is ultimately responsible for ensuring that they and the judge have signed an attempt. Electronic headphones and earbuds must not be used during an attempt, even if they are switched off or disconnected Competitors are now allowed to use their hands during inspection in 3x3x3
